Kerry burst into tears, and Colin to began to cry softly and silently. Aidan however, was all the more determined to stop Carrack before his dad and other men and women were hurt or even killed. He then phoned up Joanna with a mischievous smile on his face.
Joanna picked up, and Aidan started talking.
-Hey Jo-Jo I’m just going to assume that you’ve invented something hellishly dangerous that I can give to my dad.
-You guessed right, and better yet ye already have it! I slipped it inside your trouser pocket yesterday.
Aidan ran upstairs and checked his trouser pocket and pulled something out.
-Do ye like it?
-What is it?
Aidan gazed admiringly at the sleek polished brass tube, it felt really warm in his grasp. Very warm in fact, but not hot.
-Err, well before I tell ya. I need to warn you to keep any parts of your skin on the leather handle while in use……..
-What the hell is this thing?
-A flame thrower………..
-Great, have you made one for everyone……. And are they really as portable as they look?
-Yep, everyone’s gonna get one, and it has different settings on the knob also I have two spares.
Aidan looked at the knob and twisted it to Volcanic……….
-But whatever you do don’t set it to Volcanic, it’s completely and utterly lethal.
Aidan hastily set it back to Lock melting. Then talked back into the phone.
