Jaimy Silva, the One and Only Chapter 6: Belinda and Nathan

WEDNESDAY
Hi journal. Today, when I sat next to Liz, there was another girl next to me and a boy across from me I didn't see the day before. They were Belinda and Nathan. I hate them. Don't you agree? (You should or else I'll throw you out.) See? I make judgments too fast. Someone help me.
See ya.

It turned out that Nathan and Belinda were bullies and troublemakers. They were suspended for stealing stuff from all the teachers and the principal, Ms. Elkon. I was frightened to the bone sitting near them. But I stayed tough. "I'm Jaimy," I said coolly.
"OK name," Belinda replied. "Mine's better,"
"But mine's the best," Nathan smiled.
"Hey, James...." Liz siad.
"Yeah Liz?"
"Those two are evil." she whispered in my ear. "They steal my lunch money on a daily basis,"
"Then why don't you tell on them?"
"Are you kidding?! They have red belts in-"
"Miss Silva, Miss Craig, what is going on?" Mr. Howard scolded.
"Just some lively conversation on decimals. I don't really understand them," I saved.
"Then why were you whispering?"
Mr. Howard thought he trapped me. He was wrong. "We didn't want to give away the answers,"
"Oh. Carry on, then."
I smiled defiantly. I had a lot of aces up my sleeve. This was a new side of me I never knew about. I liked it. I had control.
But Belinda ruined my joy. "They were talking about school lunches," she said, which was partly true.
"And I'm a witness too," Nathan agreed.
Now I had a reason to hate them.
