Jaimy Silva, the One and Only Final Chapter (10): Happily Ever After

"I can't believe you've befriended Belinda, the girl I've feared since first grade," Liz told me.
"But you totally wrecked Belinda and Nathan's friendship," Dean told her.
"You can't win all," I shrugged.
"Got a point," Liz replied.
"Always do," I beamed.
"She's right," Dean agreed.
"Shut up, guys," I laughed.
"Where is Belinda, anyways?" Dean asked.
"She's over on the playground, as usual" Liz told answered.
"I'm gonna make friends with her,"
"Me too,"
And they left. "Good luck," I grinned. I was just glad we didn't have to start a fight like you see in those movies.
"Hey, Silva," I heard a voice call.
I swirled around. It was Nathan. "What, Pig?"
"Sorry," was all he said.
He started to walk away when I said, "Wait,"
"What?"
"Sorry too,"
"For what?"
"For everything. I utterly ruined your friendship with Belinda- er, Mule. I, like, stabbed you with a knife,"
Nathan smiled. "You're OK," he said. "For a priss,"
"Woah, I am not a priss,"
"I knew you would say that. You're not a priss. You're a predictable priss."
Pretty soon, Dean and Liz arrived with Mule. They were all cheerful.
Mule's smile faded when she saw Nathan Rosso. Dean grimaced, reliving that blow he took from Nathan. Nathan rolled his eyes.
"Sorry," he said. "And I mean it."
"He does," I said. "It's the truth,"
"I trust you James, and accept Nathan's apology." Mule nodded.
"Since when did you call her James?" Liz asked.
"You are ALWAYS calling her James. And it seemed fun, so I tried it. Now I can't stop."
Everything was falling into place. My life was getting perfect. But it all comes to show that you can't judge a book by its cover, even if it dunks your head in a toilet just for fun. And I was glad I went to public school.
