SUNDAY
I seriously cannot wait until my tenth birthday this December. It's coming on Tuesday, so I don't have a long time to wait. I just wanna turn ten because it has always been my lucky number. (What's yours? Oops, don't care! JK.) Alessa, my sister, is not really that excited but my baby bro Caleb seems quite jovial. Of course, when he does a number one he also seems to be jovial.
See ya.

"Happy almost-birthday!" my mom smiled. "Almost in the double digits!"
"And you don't care about me?!" Alessa frowned. "My birthday is the week after. Does that mean party week again?"
"All right," Mom said, "But we'll have to invite Byron and Kira..."
"NO!" Alessa yelped. "Please don't ever invite them within ten miles of this place,"
"Then I'll invite Dean and Nathan," I smiled. Dean and Nathan were my friends.
"Your friends are a bad influence," Alessa said with disgust.
"Too bad," I shrugged. "I don't care."
The next day at school, Mr.Everett, my teacher, decided that we do a video project. "I have your groups right here,"
I groaned. Any teacher with his brain in his head would let us choose our own groups. But it seemed t o me that Mr. Howard doesn't have a brain to begin with.
When he got to my group, he said, "OK, the next group is Ian, Rick, Francis, Jess, Samantha, and Jaimy,"
I looked at Jess. She had light brown hair and a nose that pointed upwards. She was tall, and her skin was light. Then I glanced at the other people in my group. I could already tell that I just had to be in the movie, not the director or anything.
"The video will be about anything you want, just don't use any bad words and no violence. It can be up to thirty minutes long and two minutes short. It's due next month. Someone will be director, one the writer, and four the actors, unless the writer wants to be in the movie too."
At recess, before I met up with Liz, I told Jess that I wanted to be in the movie. She said that it was fine with her as long as she got the bigger part.
"Hi Liz! Hi Mule!" I greeted.
"Hi," they moaned.
"What's wrong?"
"We're in the same group," Mule sighed, "But so is Dorky Darren,"
"Oh yeah," I said. "I feel really bad for you. But at least you don't have Jess, the self-centered little tramp."
"Or Francis, the shy little twerp," Liz added.
"Yeah, I get it, I'm miserable," I frowned. "Stop rubbing it in my face. My birthday's tomorrow,"
