Chapter 2
As my mother and father worked the sweat off their faces for my wedding,William and I talked to each other. He was not kind to me, matter of fact he didn't even like me. I certainly didn't want to marry him. But I can't just call the wedding off so I talked to my mother. " Why would you even think of doing such a thing? Don't you like him?" "No, he doesn't love me, he only came because he knows that it's a tradition that the parents give their new son money and maybe a house." " I don't think you understand Joann, we're not calling this wedding off no matter what your father would say.Whenmymother and father were both asleep I snuck out of the door I posted flyers that I made earlier stating, "Would you like to married? Go to the Dandy Valley." I know it was plain and had no detail, but I couldn't risk my parents knowing that I made it. As stapled the last flyer to a pole I walked in the rain all the way home.
Chapter 3
The next day I went to the Dandy Valley and saw only one person. He was the same size as me. He was as skinny as a snake on a diet, his clothes were poorly made and dirty. " Hi my name is Nathan Bailey." I talked with him and realized that he was the one that I wanted to marry. He was an orphan. He was 18. That was the bad thing. In my religion the groom had to be older than the bride. I don't know why. Main thing I liked Nathan and I wanted to marry him.
