They they’ve been
There before.
Listen to your friends
When they’re crying into
Your shoulder and
Sobbing, pleading.
Listen to the girl
With a silent mouth
But loud eyes
Silently screaming.
Listen to the boy
With a soft heart
But hard fists
Tightly clenched.
Listen to me
When I tell you
It’s time to listen
To those around you.
Listen to God
As He watches you
From His kingdom
Above the sky.
