in a place where I can sing my heart out

Looking up Marke found a group of boys walking towards them. "Wonderful," she murmered and spit out some of the blood welling up inside her mouth. "Naram let her go." The sudden release on her sent the girl hurtling toward the floor, knocking the breath out of her body. "Ummph!"
More snickers. Two sets of hands hoisted her up and set her on her feet. Looking at her aids, she found a tall, red-headed youth on her right. His eyes were symphatetic as he looked at her. At her left, was a boy of maybe twelve, about her height with dishwater blonde hair. A mere nod was all she got from his impassive face. Turning to the one who appeared to be the leader, she found a boy of maybe thirteen, tall, lanky and bronze hair. His hazel eyes were filled with disgust as he speculated Markes attackers. "At it again are we?" He asked in a voice that could freeze. "C'mon Larson. It's just a girl. And a scrawny one at that." Larson regarded him without feeling. "You and your friends get on. No more trouble or you'll deal with Harron. Got it?"
Apologies were mumbled and the three filed out of the room at a breakneak pace. "Now," the group turned to Marke. "Are you alright page?"Looking at them with the calmest face she could muster, Marke nodded. "When you want to fight, go for someone your own size next time eh?" Blushing Marke glanced at the floor and then back at the group of five.
