FRIDAY
I am really enjoying this video project.
That's what I would say if today never happened. But it did, and I wish we could skip to the end of this dumb project.
Do you know what happened? Jess, building up with the deepest envy, locked me in the janitor's closet. It went like this:
The janitor, Mr. Higgins, asked me to put his broom in his closet. After he did, Jess asked to use the bathroom. We went together, and went to the janitor's closet first. That's when Jess killed me. (You know what I mean.)
The janitor's closet is right next to the principal's office, which has a bunch of chairs for you to sit on while you're waiting. Jess slammed the door shut and put a chair against it. I was trapped.
"What the heck?" I yelled. "Oh my gosh, I'm stuck! Jess, get me out of here!"
I knew that we would work on our videos next. I also knew that Mr. Higgins was going to mop the entire school, and he already finished the main hall. Jess is sick.
How did I escape? After an HOUR of waiting, Mr. Higgins had to get more toilet paper for the girl's bathroom. He saw the chair, opened the door, saw me, and asked what happened. I spilled the beans.
"Really?" Mr. Higgins asked.
I nodded. "Please don't tell. Please?"
"Fine, Jane."
"It's Jaimy."
"Oh. Sorry."
When I got back, I was in big trouble with Mr. Everett. I didn't tell him what happened, which got me a trip to the principal's office. Dang it.
MONDAY
Thank goodness for Mr. Higgins!
He told the principal, Ms. Laine. Jess is in trouble. I got a trip to Ms. Laine's office because I only told Mr. Higgins. Is that terrible or what?
It isn't, really, but I love that phrase.
Jess is still in the movie, thank goodness, because she plays a big part. (A.J.) Thank goodness, because she plays a good part.
