Ms. Europe- Chapter 1 part 2- Sarah

“And……Ms. Europe is……-drum rolls-….Ms. Italy!” The host of the “Ms. Europe” TV show said.
“Aw man! Why doesn’t Ms. England ever win?” Annie complained.
“I don’t know, and don’t really care.” I said as a popped my bubble from my bubble gum.
Annie and I were sitting in the den watching TV. I never really cared for these shows. All they were is girls being competitive of how pretty they look. I can’t believe Annie watches this show. She was watching the competiton from last summer.
“Annie, can we change the channel, this is boring.”
“Aw, come on Sarah! Just 5 more minutes, it’s going to show “England’s top 10 actresses”. Annie begged.
“Uggghh! Fine! I’m just going to go help ma set the table for dinner.”
I stood up, and went to the kitchen.
“Hi ma, can I help?” I asked.
“Sure, Hun. You can start putting plates.” Ma said.
As I placed the plates on the table, I said, “Ma, where’s papa?”
“Your papa had to stay over time at work today.” She said.
“Why?” I asked.
Ma sighed, and said, “Well, uh, It seems we have been bankrupt.”
“What?!”
