Author: i just started this today, on a field trip. a little rough on the edges, i think. but please comment on it. thnx!
Bernisa Sen stood across from her boyfriend, Alcandor Beasle. "But Bern-" he started. "No 'buts' Alcandor. We're both 13 and we cant go on like this." Alcandor dipped his blond head. "I'm sorry I ever cheated on you," he mumbled, before leaving her alone in her backyard.
She sat down in her gazebo. I'll never find another like him, she thought. She heard a small tap. "Bernisa Louise Sen! Come and meet the family that just moved in next door!" She stood up and straightened her black hair, unruffled her blue loose shirt. She forced a smile, and went to greet her new neighbors.
"Meet Helena Jeffory, Gregg Jeffory, and Helena's stepson Lionel." She politely greeted them, shaking each of their hands. Her head tingled. She turned to her sister. 'I just had a vision,' she mouthed. Her sister nodded, then turned to the Jeffory's. "We hope you have a nice life in Tushunat," she said. As they left, Lionel winked at Bernisa.
Her heart beat a little faster, and she stood straighter. Her sister didnt seem to notice. What happened to me? she thought. I just broke up with Alcandor. Why am I having this reaction?
