in Washington
October 30th, 2005
Across the lonely night,
The water comes blowing.
The silver gaze of the moon
Is here
And listen!
The lake whispers
The wide expanse
of dark water shivers
The stars float
Together
On its misty expanse
And as the sun sleeps
Memories under the surface
Of lights.
I'm alone
In a boat
While the moon watches
And I finally
Sigh
away from the sun
And into the night
And noises were all around me.
Stars are glowing
And going out
And the silvery water
Is all around
It carries me away,
From everything.
Alone
In a boat
And I finally
Cry
The wind rustles
'Return'
As I leave the lake
The stars go out
and gray has arrived
I can't return.
In the light of the dusk,
Far away.
Can't return.

This is one of a series of poems I'm writing that tell a story. Shall I continue?
