Camp Hope

A/N Some people may be asking, What is this story about? Well, I'll tell you:  There is this girl named Kendall, who has to go to this camp, which she thinks is very stupid. She meets another girl named Alexander who has the same problem. Kendall learns that not everyone appreciates the way she acts, especially her want-it-all mother Keela. Her mother dies suddenly and she has to go back for the reading of the will. She finds a father she never knew, and an old woman who changes her life.

I looked at the dreary camp with disgust. My want it all mom sent me here to change my atitude. I mean seriously? What is wrong with my atitude? Sure I'm very moody, but is there anything else? The way my strawberry-blond hair doesnt shine the way hers does? My interest in dragons and elves instead of princesses and princes?

The cabin was ugly. The mattresses were super thin, and the bed was dusty. There was only 4 bunks, and they were already undusted, sparkly clean. Oh, and by the way, this used to be an all boys camp, before one girl named Alsina proved girls can do anything boys can do.

"You're pretty," said this blond, peppy looking girl. "Maybe you can be in my group. I'm Pepper." She held out a perfectly manicured hand. A hand thats never done work in my life, just like mine. "Kendall," I answered dryly. I walked over to my bed. I took out my all black clothing and looked for a closet that wasnt being used.

"Yo whats up?" a girl on the bunk above Peppers asked. She was walnut brown, with long brown hair and light brown eyes. "This is Kendra." Pepper said. "Kendall," I corrected. Pepper noticed the emphasis. "Fo sho? I'm Louise." Louise jumped from the bunk. She was about my height too.

I heard the camp instructor yell for all the boys and girls. Pepper, Louise and I went out into the bright sunlight. "Welcome to Camp Hope! I's Miley, your camp instructor for the month. Here at Camp Hope we learn life without electricity," alot of people groaned. "And life with the animals." "So a bear can come and steal our phones?" A girl asked. Smiley, which is what I will now call her, just smiled. Uh. To happy.

One suggestion (or should I say mistake?)...you wrote at the end, "To happy." Wouldn't that be "Too happy." ? Sorry, no need to change if you don't want to. Just something I happened to notice.
