Kill Me Now chapter 4

So after school, everyone heard about Terry and Aria. In fact, as Terry and I were walking home, we heard Aria and her friend Sara talking about it.

"Wow, Terry punched YOU? That's PATHETIC!" teased Sara.

"SHUT UP!" Aria cried.

"Oh, sorry." Sara backed down quickly.

Terry and I laughed. "She's finally cracked!" Terry said joyfully.

"Finally being the key word." I joked. We continued our walk home, and eventually we got to my house.

"Good luck with the Trouble Twins." Terry said, turning the corner.

"Thanks. I'll need it." I said, unlocking the front door.

There was a loud thud coming from inside my home. Nobody was supposed to be home at that time unless....that wasn't possible. Maggie and Layla would definitely get caught. But since it was the Trouble Twins, I had no idea what to expect. I sighed, opened the front door, and shoved myself inside. Then I saw it---the creepiest thing ever---Maggie trying to sneak some boy into the house through the back window.

"Ooops," Maggie replied, "I didn't hear you come in." Then I noticed the boy she was with.

"Who's that?" I asked her.

"Um...well....this is Todd." Todd fell out of the window, landing right on his back.

"Oh. TOOOODD. Yes, that Todd." I tried to speak very loudly. I didn't know what Maggie saw in Todd. He was ugly, and had short, messy brown hair and brown eyes. NOTHING special.

I walked over to Todd. "Hello, Yodd, I mean Todd, I am Kyra Madison, Maggie's younger sister. If you want to date Maggie there are three things you must know about her: number one, she picks her nose when nobody's looking, number two, she dances to CD's of the ‘Naked Brother's Band' in her underwear, and three, she still watches the ‘Teletubbies' every morning. Keep in touch." I winked. "Here's my card." I took one of my business cards out of my pocket and handed it to him. Their just simple cards with a plain format, like so:

984-993-9743 Detective984-993-9743

984-993-9743 Detective984-993-9743 Detectiv

984-993-9743 DetectiveeDetective

Todd looked unphased. He seemed annoyed. I smiling, trying to get him to say, "Awww....how cute."

"Awwww....how cute." Todd said. ( The smile works like a charm) "Get out of here and leave us alone!" Well, I thought the smile worked, anyway.

I rolled my eyes, and ran up to my room, disgusted that a boy would ever like my sister.

Right before I entered my room, I heard a BANG! I hoped that wasn't Maggie and Todd. BANG! Now that's disturbing. BANG!!

Somebody was knocking on the door. "COME IN!!" I yelled to them.

Some pretty blonde lady came bursting in. I ran back down the stairs to see who she was.

"MOM!" Todd cried.

What was Todd's last name? Oh right, it's Lengyel. Mrs. Lengyel, Todd's mom, saw him with my sister. And I know I wasn't there, but they were probably kissing. That's such a perfect moment for Todd's mom to come bursting in.

I smiled at Mrs. Lengyel. "Hi Mrs. Lengyel." I greeted. "I'm Maggie's sister. Here's my card." I winked as I gave her my card.

"Thanks," she smiled, and turned to Todd. "Now what's going on?!" Todd was speechless.

"Uhhhhh......" Todd stood up to face his mom.

"I don't think your father is going to be too happy."

"Oh man, don't tell dad! He's strict with that stuff!"

"I know. He gets it from his parents."

"Please don't tell him!"

"I will. He has a right to know these things. And you should be punished, you are way too young for this crap." When she said that, I knew something was going on but I really didn't want to stick around and find out what.

"But-"

"Look, I don't really care! You're too young for this in my opinion and what I say goes. Now say goodbye to that girlfriend of yours and head out to the car.

"But-"

"NOW." Ordered Mrs. Lengyel. I chuckled. Watching them argue was hilarious. Maggie looked at them both in disbelief. I skipped over to the couch and sat next to Maggie. Mrs. Lengyel was still scolding Todd, who was trying to make a quick escape.

"Maggie's in trouble!" I sang.

"Shutup, before mom-"

"Mom does what?" My mother then walked through the door. This was getting good!

"Well, Judy, your daughter and my son were kinda busy if you know what I mean."

"Yeah. And SO? No big deal!" Maggie's jaw dropped in shock. She couldn't belive my mom would say something like that--I couldn't believe my mom said that. She's just not that type of person, but I guess I don't know her as well as I should.

Mrs. Lengyel pushed Todd out of the door. "Well, I don't like it."

"Goodbye, Charlieze." My mom said, shoving Mrs. Lengyel toward the door, closing with a slam.

My mom turned around to face Maggie. "Margaret," Maggie shuddered at the mention of her real name, "nothing happened, right? I'm so glad you've come home after that escape. If the police come, I'll be sure to hide you."

"Yeah, whatever." Maggie said, her face turning red. She zoomed upstairs without another word. I followed her. When Maggie reached the room she shared with Layla, Maggie blocked the door from me. I sighed.

"Don't even try." Maggie commanded me, closing the door behind her. I heard a small snap. This meant she was locking the door. Being the nosy little sister I was, I pressed my ear to the door.

"Put down that algebra homework. I've got better news." Maggie's voice was so faint I could barely hear her.

"So did you sneak him in?" Layla said. There are times like these when I'm glad she has such a loud blabbermouth. It's easier to hear her.

"Omigosh, he's such a great kisser." I gagged at the thought of some guy actually wanting to kiss my sister. EW!

"What else?"

"Well, he---"

MY GOSH!! SICKOS!! I covered my ears...I didn't want to hear any more of their sick conversation, ‘what is her problem?' I thought to myself as I backed into my room.

It didn't take too long for mom to find out, either. "MARGARET CLARICE!!" Mom screamed from downstairs, echoing throughout the whole house. At the mention of Maggie's middle name, I could tell she was in for it.

"I FOUND SOMETHING DOWN HERE!! I THINK YOU MIGHT WANT TO TAKE A LOOK AT IT! AFTER ALL, I THINK IT'S YOURS!!!"

"I LEAVE MY PERSONAL THINGS ALL OVER THE HOUSE! WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?" Maggie screamed back. That was a pretty good excuse, considering the number of times I've found Maggie's bras on the toilet. But it's not good enough when it comes to mom.

"YOU'RE GROUNDED FOR FIVE WEEKS!"

Layla was still laughing her unattractive hyena cackle. "Good luck trying to go out with Todd now." She said.
