This is to all you fantasy lovers out there.

Stuck on something to read? Well the Blade of Fortriu by Julliet Mariller is the book for you. Even though it is the second book in a series, The Bridei Chronicles (all of the books in this are worth a read), it is a fabulous book in itself. By the time i had finished the first chapter i was already intrigued.

I saw the Blade of Fortriu in a second hand bookshop and it look interesting so i bought it. It is about a hostage, Ana who is sent away to be wed to a man she hasn't even met because Bridei needs Alpin's fighting men if he wants to send the Gaels out of Fortriu for good.

Bridei and Tuala, his wife, are good friends with Ana and are extremly upset to see her leave, especially under the circumstances. But they have more pressing matters at hand. Bridei is at war against the Gaels and Tuala has to look after their son who is gravely sick.

It seems that Alpin has other plans than to help Bridei win against the Gaels. As the king of Fortriu marches out against the Gaels,it is clear that Bridei is heading towards certain death. Only one person can save him, but it puts Ana's happiness in jepordy.
This is a thrilling novel crossed between adventure and fantasy, romance and war. A fantasy must for any one, child or adult alike.
This is one of my favourite books of all time. I know you would love it too.

Warning:
This book might offend some Christians (i am one myself) but please dont stop reading. It doesn't matter what religion this is about, it is a fantastic novel and just focus on that.
