Kima stopped at her parents deathsite again. She read the facts that Tamon had given her. "I really like the fact about us meeting. Come on. I think there is something I missed. You can follow the heat trail." Tamon nodded and drove off. Kima bent down and examined the pieces of the leftover car. She suddenly felt a small chill and immediately turned around. What she saw was unreal. Atleast she thought it was.
"Cameron?" Cameron nodded. "How long have you been here?" Cameron looked around. "Since Mom and Dad died. I saw you leave, but my spirit couldnt reach you. So I put the spirit back inside my body and got up." Cameron was now twenty-two. "So. Who's the guy you're travelling with?" Kima looked up from the piece of her parents car. "Tamon. He's a friend." Cameron nodded in disbelief. "I can give you a lead K. But you have to take me with you whereever you go." Kima looked up and nodded. She knew Tamon was not expecting her, but she needed that lead.
Kima stood up and dusted sand off her pants. "Here it is. Mom and Dad were connected to the fireball. Thats what they were arguing about before they were killed. Mom knew that if we travelled this way that we might get hit by a fireball. She's the one who caused them. When I found out, she made me promise not to tell you and Dad. The fireballs were like... an alarm. That if a car came down this road, to blow it up. Because this place is where Mom and Dad got married."
Kima heard the familiar horn blow. "Come on Cam. There's Tamon." Kima got in the passenger seat, Cameron in the back. "Tamon meet Cam. Cam, meet Tamon." They said hi to eachother, then drove off. Kima looked around. A fireball was following the car. "Not again," she said. Tamon looked around and stopped the car. "Kima? Why are we stopping?" Kima put a finger up to shush her, then got out of the car. Cameron turned around and looked to see what they were doing. She knew that the fireball would blow up if they tried to terminate it.
She took out a bottle of water. It was all she had, then got out of the car. She tried to get Kima and Tamon's attention, but only got Kima's. Tamon was busy deflecting the fireball with little blasts. Kima tapped on Tamon, and he looked around at Cameron. He turned back to human, and heard Cameron say something that made the water come out of her bottle. The water somehow expanded, and fell onto the fireball. It sizzled, then died down to a small little blast. Tamon absorbed it, then got in the car. Kima and Cameron got in, but looked at eachother and shrugged before getting in.
Tamon was in a bad mood. He just found out he had a sister, and Cameron's sister came along. He wanted to be alone somewhere, so as soon as he was sure everyone was asleep, he went to a cliff that was nearby. He made a small fire, and looked out. He heard a twig snap, and saw Kima. All readers should be glad that Cameron cannot shapshift, because Cameron likes to use people. "Are you okay T?" Tamon turned back to the cliff. He felt Kima sit down beside him.
"Is this about our sisters?" Tamon nodded and looked at Kima. "Are there ever times when you cant seem to do anything right and want to give up?" he asked. Kima nodded and hugged him. "I feel like that alot. I get the courage to talk to you about what happened to our parents, but when its time for me to talk about us, I pig out."
"I'm glad there is an us Kima. I cant live without you, literally." "Tamon. You-You're asking me to marry you?" Tamon looked back out at the cliff and nodded. "Then I'll say yes." Tamon looked back at her. "Really?" She nodded. He kissed her. She stepped back and smiled. "We're not going to tell Cameron are we?" "Not if you dont want me to." "Thanks Tamon. I really think that she is jealous. She hasnt had time to find love." Tamon started walking. "Lets go. Dawn is coming." Kima ran to catch up with him.
Kima was glad to be free of the feeling that she was going to be very happy. 'Cause she was indeed very happy. But she still hadnt solved the mystery. "Tamon?" she asked. "Mmm?" "Can we get married after we solve the mystery?" "I was just thinking about that, and we could. If not then, there is still time." Kima's face darkened. "Not if one of us dies." Tamon didnt understand what she meant, and he knew not to ask her. She had enough on her mind already. She huggedmhim tighter. She got in the drivers seat and drove off. She was holding Tamon's hand the whole time. "Y'all are getting married!" They looked to the back seat and saw Cameron, her face was red and it looked as if steam was about to come out of her ears. Kima and Tamon looked at eachother. This was gonna be a long day.
