Argh, I don't believe myself. I really don't. My overwhelmingly stupid.... shyness, sense of... I don't know, polar opposite-ness with Rheston has gotten the better of me. My one chance to un-alienate Rheston has gone wrong.
I roll my eyes to myself and shift on my bed until I'm staring up at the ceiling, my arms crossed behind my head. I close my eyes for a second, exhaling through my nose with a big whoosh.
Bloody Liam Rheston and his stupid mystery and his flirty, rude, caked-with-makeup girlfriend Gina. Well, ex-girlfriend, probably, now, and I'm being engulfed against my better judgement with a sense of guilt.
Again.
Defensively, I open my eyes and twist to my other side and rest my hand under my cheek trying to think of something else.
I don't succeed. My efforts have done nothing. I still feel like I should have done more, for Rheston, to Rheston, and I've been stuck here on my bed, twisting and turning back and forth, for about...
I turn to the clock.
Twenty blasted minutes.
Hmph.
