Author's Note: Thank you, my friends...
I have lost so much in my life
I thought I had finally reached the end
And that's when I realized
I can get through because I have my friends
I didn't think there was any hope left
Until they came and took my hands
They helped me stand up tall and strong
Now I understand
Because of them I am here
Looking proud and without doubt
I don't carry the burden of fear
'Cause my friends always help me out
When I think I've fallen too far
They climb all the way down to reach me
There are no friends like the ones I have
The best friends anyone could ever be
When my heart aches from the sorrow of love
They heal the wounds with their joy
They make me smile and laugh
The pain they destroy
And when I'm alone and so afraid
They light the dark and walk me through
Showing me a world that they create
With a bright happiness anew
When I slip in life and fall to the ground
A deep cut needing to mend
I know that I will always heal
