Two days until

School starts,

More like one day

When the clock strikes

Tweleve o’clock

In only two hours.

Am I ready?

I’m not quite sure

I know what classes

I’m taking, but

Not what order

Not what teachers.

Am I ready emotionally?

No, not really,

Still stuck in dreamland

But being pulled out

Inch by inch and it all starts

With worrying and drama.

The life of a teenager

Can never be perfect

I’ve come to conclude

And you may’ve realized

That, too, because things seem

So hard and confusing for me.

But with my faith

And with my love

And with my friends

I’ll always try my hardest

To be the best I can

And never give up

No matter how tough life can be…
