You can't do it if you tried..

How do you know what I can't do

and when I'll shut down,crying

but I'm not a person like you who think without trying

I proudly went through a week of intense boot camp training

running two miles on the first day

then passing,shooting, finding

those key compontents to success

within a group of 40 girls

making the choices difficult

but easy to reveal...

there my name was on the list

choosen for a team..I had been told a thousand times

I didn't have the speed.

The next was during school hours

with everyone i knew

one with a little crush

on the girl by you know who

It won't ever happen I was told

you shouldn't even persue...

but i got to the point where we talked everyday

even if it was just Hey...

we had smiles on our faces

but we were both out of school

before we could really start the phases.

some many times was he told he could do it

now he's got eight of gold

in one olympics a brand new record..

and he was set out to prove he could do it

the kids who tormented him before now want to be his friend

and Micheal isn't quite to sure to bend

be he's someone i look up to

in each and every way...

he's person who never gave up

and that's why i live

in the way that i do...

cause he succeeded and i want to

be the one to really chose a path in which

I can almost never lose...

I call this road Phelp's Freeway

cause that's who inspired..

to be a real true wonder

of the world that he desired.
