A Callin'

Flittin’ ‘round the treetops
Through branches as they sway
Or hoverin’ in meadows
With grasses every way

‘Round the stems of all the bushes
Through the leaves of ev’ry tree
I can hear its song a singin’
And it’s comin’ back to me

So sing out to the sun and moon
To the sky, the stars, and ground
And listen past the citys’ noise
And other man-made sounds

Shout out past the bustle
And I promise if you do
You can hear the earth a callin’
And it’s callin’ out to you

Past the smog and past the sewage
Past the asphalt and concrete
I can feel this place a singin’
I can feel its earthen beat

Can you hear the earth a callin’
Can you hear it loud and clear?
For some the sounds are hidden
You can make them reappear

So sing out to the sun and moon
To the sky, the stars, and ground
And listen past the citys’ noise
And other man-made sounds

Shout out past the bustle
And I promise if you do
You can hear the earth a callin’
And it’s callin’ out to you
