Something I did last week for a homework assignment. Pretty good, I think... since we were only asked for one page when /I/ turned in two. Haha. Thhhhpp. =P
The lights faded softly and directed their sapphire glow to a tall curtain stretched against the shadows, which held the next act. The long drape slowly began to sway to the side. The drum roll weakened to an end and an exhilarating silence filled the area.
Suddenly, two white stallions glided into the ring. Their striking pasty coats flashed in the blue light. Around their collar they held a hefty golden neckpiece, embedded with thousands of glamorous diamonds and gems. On each of the horses’ backs rode a beautiful showgirl. The young girls were very attractive in their white leotards and thin gold mesh-tights and both women had their long brunette hair pulled back in two braids. The bulky locks bounced dramatically as the pair of horse and girl raced closer into the middle of the circle. As they rounded the ring another pair raced out into the act and so followed five more. The group of nine trotted around the ring in opposite directions waving at the audience and striking their best smiles. The horses race to the center where they neatly make two rows of four with one lady and horse standing in the midpoint. With their smiles still wide, the girls hoist themselves onto their feet and continue the show. Each girl balances exceedingly well as the white steeds gallop across the dry, crumbly soil. The audience applauds with much anticipation on what will happen next.
The horses ride close with their gold collars beating harshly against their muscular chests. The women get ready for something to happed and as another’s stallion aligns perfectly with her own she takes a deep breath and leaps forward. While the eight ladies glided majestically through the air, the lone horse and his rider dash underneath the beings overhead. When the girls landed they found themselves riding their neighbors’ horse.
The crowd clapped widely as nine white streaks turned and disappeared behind a closing curtain.
