Chapter 1

“Wake up Sanera! You’re late for the bus!” Shouted Sanera’s mum. Sanera woke up groaning as she got out of bed. She dragged herself downstairs were her mum was scurrying around as usual. She gobbled down her breakfast and went upstairs to change into her school uniform. She could hear her brother’s music blasting from his room as per usual. She slowly got dressed dreading every minute closer to going to school. She wasn’t the most popular girl in school. In fact she had no friends at all. Her mum screamed at her one more time and she shouted back, “ I’m ready! Hold on for a second!” She slipped into her shoes, grabbed her bag and raced out through the door. Her mum grabbed the car keys and frowned at Sanera. “ You should have gone to bed at 9:30pm, tonight you go to bed at 9:00pm you hear me?” Sanera gasped and replied “ Mum! I’m 15! Only babies go to bed at 9:00pm! That’s not fair!” Her mum replied in a sharp tone, “ Well babies don’t have to go to school now do they? Now hurry up and get in the car, I’m not doing a dropping daughter into school everyday service.” So Sanera groaned and shoved herself in the car. She was mumbling to herself in the car while she stared out the window. She noticed a boy about her age, he has dull brown eyes and dark hair, their eyes locked and connected. She noticed he gawped at her and pointed. She then quickly ducked and stayed like that until she reached school. She thought to herself, Who is he? What was it about me that he freaked out about? She stepped out of the car and walked through the gates towards the school entrance. She glanced her watch and realised it was already quarter past nine. She cursed to herself and sprinted to class. She burst through the door and everyone stopped to stare at her. She silently went to her seat and sat down. Everyone stopped staring at her and continued doing their class work. After half an hour the teacher, Mr Aberton announced a new student. She turned to see this new student and gasped. It was the same boy that started and pointed at her. She stared at him while his eyes scanned the room. As if he was looking for someone. Then she realised, it was her he was looking for. She quickly ducked under the desk until he found a place to sit. Next to her. Mr Aberton asked Sanera to look after him for the day and to show him around the school. The boy raised his hand and said, “ Actually I would like to use the toilets. So Mr Aberton told Sanera to go show him the toilets. He wanted to be with her alone. She was curious to know why. So she got out her seat and walked out of the classroom. As soon as they reached the corner he pushed her against the wall and hissed, “ What are you doing here!?! Your not meant to show yourself in public! Knowing the strength of your power! You could kill someone!” She looked at him blankly and replied, “ I’m sorry I think u have the wrong person. He looked at her up and down, pushed her hair to the side and touched the side of her face, as he was staring at her eyes she noticed his eyes were a deep shade of black. After he finished examining her, he said, “nope it’s defiantly you follow me I’ll take you to Varenian he will explain everything to you and by the way I’m Jenrox.” Sanera was about to explain that she wasn’t aloud to leave school grounds until after school. But he grabbed her arm and closed his eyes. She couldn’t see what he was doing but she realised that they were both disappearing. She started to panic but before she screamed for help she was hurled into a circular pool blue warp. She felt herself being pushed and shoved around by multicoloured figures. She was terrified until she was disturbed by a loud booming voice which shouted out, “I found you!” Jenrox pulled her to his chest and whispered a chant and within seconds they landed in a bundle of hay. She groaned and rubbed her head in agony as she sat herself up. She looked for Jenrox and found him. Lying still, not breathing. She panicked. She quickly turned him to face her and she gave him mouth to mouth. She failed. She done everything she could but he couldn’t be revived. So she started crying. She laid next to him that night and prayed that he could be alive. Then she saw a flash of light getting bigger and bigger and bigger. She covered her eyes so she wouldn’t get blinded. Out of this light stepped out a beautiful woman with long white robes. She sat next to him and put her hands over his face. She whispered a chant and then looked at Sanera she placed her hand on Sanera’s head and also whispered a chant. Sanera felt a tingling sensation overcome her when this chant was spoken. Then the mysterious woman got up and faded away. Sanera was puzzled, she wondered what that woman done to her and Jenrox. She shaked her and drifted off to sleep.

Chapter 2

As she woke up she smelt a familiar smell of bacon and eggs. She got up to find Jenrox cooking breakfast. She rubbed her eyes to make sure she wasn’t dreaming. But she wasn’t. There he was, whistling to a song which sounded terrible. She got up and said well well well someone managed to sleep well last night. He grinned and said, “ How did you manage to summon the great Goddess Lukimi to save my life? She thought to herself. “ Who is that?” But then she realised. “ Does she has a beautiful face and white robes which could make any girl jealous?” Jenrox grinned and said, “ Yeah sounds like her, so how did you summon her. It takes a immortal 10 years before he can summon her. You managed it over a night!” There is something powerful about you. People say that Lukimi has a sister about your age. But she is not a goddess. Could it be?.....” Sanera thought for a while and her face changed from puzzlement to horror. Your not suggesting that.. that. Boy your out of your head!” Jenrox frowned and said, “ Well it’s a possibility isn’t it? I mean you’re the exact same age and not any other girl can summon Lukimi in just 1 night. Unless you were pretty desperate for something.” Sanera stuttered, “ W Well you weren’t good to me dead were you? It’s not like i fancy you or anything. Now lets just set up camp.” Jenrox blushed and replied in a quiet voice, “ yeah right ok lets set up camp. It might not even had been the great Goddess might be some good healer you might not even be THAT important.” Sanera grinned and said, “ Well thanks for that now lets have some of your breakfast, if it’s good I may have found one of your uses for being alive.” Jenrox grinned with amusement and served out breakfast. They finished the breakfast in silence. Sanera stared out into the open plains. |There were crows swiftly circling them, waiting to eat. They were bigger than ordinary crows. They had feathers the size of Sanera’s arms. And eyes deep red with a torturing look inside them. Sanera felt distressed and uncomfortable so she nudged Jenrox and asked him, “ What kind of birds are they?” Jenrox looked up and then quickly looked to the floor. “ Don’t look at them” he snapped. Sanera was about to ask him why but knew that know was not the time. She noticed him clutching onto his sword. Now she really started to panic. After half an hour Sanera heard a shriek of a young woman. Sanera quickly looked up but Jenrox forced her head down again. He whispered in a harsh but soft way, “ It’s a trap, they want you to look up.” Sanera asked him, “ Why can’t we look up?” He replied, “ They’re eyes are cameras used by the Death eater. He is from the Deaths end. He is looking for you.” Sanera was astonished. “ Why would he want me? I’m just a normal girl. I think you have the wrong person I’m sorry but can you send me back?. Jenrox sighed and said, “ I’m sorry but I can’t explain now but Varenian can I’m sure. Now as you understand these birds are going to try and take you away so in order to stop that we have to fight them.” Sanera froze and then shook her head. “ I can’t fight! I have never used a sword in my life. How do you expect me to fight these things?” Jenrox gave her a sword which glowed a bright blue glow. “ Varenian told me that if we ever had to fight I should give this to you. It makes any freshman go professional. Use it and good luck Sanera.” Jenrox flew into action, he grabbed his sword and thrust it towards one of the beasts. IT let out a shriek then burst into ashes. Sanera watched in amazement until she noticed one of them hurling its self at her. She covered herself as she was knocked back onto the heavy ground. She quickly got up and prepared for the next attack. Another one soon came swooping down. As soon as It was a few hundred meters in front of her. She felt herself glowing. She dropped her sword and faced the creature. She whispered a chant which she had no control over. Within seconds she noticed that all the creatures was dead and Jenrox was standing there looking at her in amazement. She blinked and looked behind her. Then she turned back to face Jenrox. She asked him, “ What happened?” He replied after a slight pause,” I think you just discovered what your made of.
