From Royalty to Commonness ~Chapter 12~

Chapter 12:

“Sander?” mouthed Julie in amazement. Here was another person whom the old Annabel knew only by name – now; here she was talking to her governess’s daughter, Cassie, whom Mrs. Sander always talked about.

“Aren’t you-“, here she stopped, confused at using which words.

“Aren’t you …the princess’s, governess’s …daughter?”, she repeated, stammering, as they headed down the aisle to the door.

“Yeah, everyone asks me that the first time I meet them”
Her tone seemed modest and as they went out of the door – Julie saw the first sight of her large school.

She couldn’t describe it in words and neither can I. It was absolutely big! There was a enormous field where many preschoolers were running about, middle year kids chatting around and high-school student couples walking hand in hand.

There was a pool to the right of the building stretching to the indoors swimming pool. On the left – as far as Julie could see – there was plain lawn with swings and see-saws and playground stuff.

The building it self seemed greatly high. It was white painted and an arched door was open, allowing students to come in and out, laughing and chattering. Julie gasped. She didn’t imagine it to be so great.

“Come on”. She heard her friend, Cassandra, as if from faraway and coming back to her senses, she smiled and followed her into the large building. In her excitement, she forgot all about her sister and brother, who were supposed to help her find her way about. Clearly, she’d now have to rely on her senses of direction… or on Cassie.
