The Big Adventure

One morning a boy named Andrew woke up from his deep slumber on Christmas morning and darted down the stairs to see what was under the tree. He found lots of things, such as a teddy bear, set of blocks, and different colored markers. Andrew put on his clothes and backpack, and went outside on the porch to start his brand new big adventure.
Andrew and his family lived in Florida. On the way to the woods he met his friend Mark, who was wearing red shorts and was going to get his haircut. They talked for a while, and the Andrew continued his trip to the woods. When he finally got there, Andrew glared at an old talking tree and noticed that its bark was black and burnt. “What happened to you?” Andrew asked. “Turn back…turn back” softly replied the tree. The boy gasped. He knew something was terribly wrong. “The fire storms are coming…just look what they did to my head. I’m completely bald. They burned all of my leaves on my head and my branches. Turn baaaack, go…”sadly replied the tree. “Was anyone else damaged by the storms?” asked Andrew. “Ohhh yeah…old Grandpa Shark and all the others harks in that magic lake were hurt by the storms” heavily sighed the tree. “Can I go and visit him?” “You can not visit Grandpa Shark because nobody can pass his Cave of Sharp Needles. Also you can’t stay under water that long anyway. Oh and also…well…there is no way of stopping the storms. There, I said it…Are you happy now? Please leave this instant.” Andrew was shocked, but he did not want to leave without stopping the fire storms from killing and destroying all leaving creatures. All of a sudden he had an outstanding idea! The boy whistled, as loud as he possibly could, the call of the Magical Queen of the Sea, Goldeen, the beautiful gold fish. The fire storms were torturing the tree, and the sharks were frightened, but Goldeen made a powerful water storm that stopped ravaging fire. The water made the leaves grow back on the tree, and its bark looked healthy. The sharks’ skin was nice and smooth again without horrible burn marks. The grateful tree thanked Goldeen for saving them, and everyone thanked Andrew for coming up with the idea. The tree gave him The Leaf of Luck, and old Grandpa Shark gave Andrew a gold tooth called The Tooth of Happiness. Goldeen swam to the boy and granted him one wish. “I wish there was peace in this forest forever” shouted Andrew. “So be it” replied the fish.
When Andrew got home he sat on the porch with his brother, drinking lemonade. From that day on he never forgot about Goldeen, the magic tree, or shark ever again.
