Chapter 17:
“…then tomorrow we have the first real organized day of school… welcome back… and hello to new…â€
“blah-blah…blah…blah-blah…â€
Julie could hear the principle’s words flying in and out of her ear. She had followed all the students to an wide open floor-ground where there was tons of space and there was a small area in the middle with a podium and those other stuff.
This is terribly boring, she thought sighing, in a large bundle of other kids around her. Obviously, they were supposed to line up in straight lines according to their grade and section, but somehow today was a day made disorganized.
As the principle talked and chattered on about trivial things, her mind wandered off to different subjects.
Of course, in the past few, hurried, days – Julie hadn’t spared a single moment for thoughts like, ‘how did I become Julie?’ and ‘how did I reach here in the first place?’.
It just seemed like a holiday for her – one, entirely different from the other holidays she had had when she was Annabel Charms.
But now, out of all places, her mind drifted off to ‘that’ particular subject.
What REALLY happened??? Why exactly happened that MADE that happen?
She remembered a lot of small things before finding herself in the hospital with people that were supposedly her ‘family’, surrounding her, but other than that, she couldn’t make out a single thing of what was going on.
The red puddle… the black foot-prints… the sudden twirl of surrounding… the creepy dark hole (where she first appeared after all the surroundings changed, when she touched the puddle)…
All of them seemed clear in her mind. “It seemed like they happened a year agoâ€, she thought.
“Sure, this is great fun and all, but what’s happened to Mum?â€, she worried. Even though she was not close to her mother at all (in fact she even believed that her Mum rejected her when she was born), one couldn’t reject one’s own mother can they?
Suddenly everyone started pushing and moving in their own direction (Julie was jostled a lot) and she came back to earth, realizing the Principle’s long speech was FINALLY over.
With another sigh, she tried to make herself as invisible as possible and started walking where her feet took her.

Thanks for writing the next
Thanks for writing the next ch. And I really like it. You know, how she's confused and everything. You're talented. It's sorta like my ch.5 of 'The Belonging Place'. The way they're confused.
