At KidPub, we believe that writing is a fundamental life skill and a key to success later in life. By publishing kids' stories to a worldwide audience we create excitement about writing and reading. As a popular author once said, "Writers write." We don't criticize, analyze, correct, or evaluate children's stories. It's the act of writing that is important. The more a kid writes, the more comfortable it becomes. Posting stories on KidPub builds confidence and self-esteem in our young authors.
Home-schoolers also appreciate KidPub as a place to both publish their children's stories and to read stories of different levels and viewpoints from around the world.
KidPub has been on the web since late January of 1995, making it one of the web's oldest sites of any kind, and the oldest site devoted to children's literacy. Back then there were only about 10,000 web sites in existence. Now, thirteen years later, there are an estimated 155,230,051 (one hundred fifty-five million) web sites!
