in ...I don't know. HOLY CROW, I'M LOST!!!!!!!!!

September 11th, 2009

As we all know today was 9/11....for America it was the day we remembered those who gave thier lives to fight off terrrorists...to contain fires of the broken buildings...people who were in the buildings when they crashed down. Today, 8 years ago, this country went into shock, chaos, and mourning. But today we stand strong. We represent a firm front. We have some wrinkles that we're still working out but....we're here...and we never gave up, nor will we ever. Let us, today, remember all the people who died on this day in 2001. Let us bow our heads and lift our hearts to not only those killed on 9/11, but those who have died for us in wars, those who have given up thier lives so that we may live free today. Let us never forget, but not to mourn any longer. To know that those men, women, people and children are all in a better place right now.

God bless everybody on this sacrid American day.

I totally agree with you!

I totally agree with you!  It's to bad my school didn't do a moment of silence to honor those people, it gets me mad they didn't even mention eight years ago.

100% right, dude. In class

100% right, dude. In class we watched a slideshow thingy about 9/11. The background music was from the Halo game and it only showed 1 picture of the Twin Towers, the rest was cival war stuff and I saw a picture of Hitler. Awkward.

Our schools really should

Our schools really should respect 9/11 more. They dont show anything on it because it doesnt "Fit into the criteria" and "We're too busy learning about something that we can learn again tomorrow instead of something that can fully be honered today"

True. God bless everyone.

True. God bless everyone. Every assignment my school gave us revolved around 9/11. We prayed during homeroom. A few of us did shed a tear.

Mrs. Mason made us watch

Mrs. Mason made us watch it!!! I AM SCARRED FOR LIFE! I cannot explain the emptiness I was feeling. My skin prinkled with goose-bumps. Cupping my shaking hands over my gapping mouth. And stared in fear and astonishment  at the screen blankly.

Whoa--- My writer side too over! O_O

A moment of silence to all

A moment of silence to all the innocent lives that were lost, they are missed but never forgotten, for one day, we'll all be one.

They just announced it in

They just announced it in our school, no talking about it, everyone just went back to work, I mean we all have our stories, like remembering when the pres. flew over breaking the sound barrier. Or if our relatives over slept, and did not go to work when they were supposed to work in the buildings. Or if you could see the smoke stacks from your house, and leaving school early because they were scared they were gonna bomb us. Thank you Aimee, all should know, its like kids in Rwanda not knowing about the genocide. Which is sad, because people have a right to know, and need to know.

Woah, that sounded like a speech, except for the thank you aimee part.Embarassed

Thank you,

Eve Marie

Today was a very sacrid day

Today was a very sacrid day for America. I felt that it needed to be expressed. We kids may be 'just kids' but we have minds and souls and hearts and we all remember. We were all scared. And I'm glad I wrote this. Look at all of us who are talking about it to each other freely! I think even the kids that arent American still realize how horrid this day was. And they respect it, which-speaking for myself- I'm very thankful for. That kids aroumd the world can realize other's struggles. Espescially if somebody on here had a loved one that died. So, really, thanks to yall, for opening up and freely pronouncing your respect for this day.

God bless.

I feel poetic, so I'm going

I feel poetic, so I'm going to post this here...it's not so much a poem as it is what's going through my head.

On this day we all bow our heads in mourning, a single nation drawing together as one to mourn the lives, spirits and souls lost  A day that a nation can bond, become what our forefathers had invisioned over three hundred years before. A  vision where all can come together, show the patriotic loyalty to one country, come together on a single undying love of a young nation, where we can all stand and mourn, respect and love. A vision where a nation of different race and religion can rise up from the ashes of destruction, rise up and overcome petty thoughts to meet the blood that courses through their veins, the blood that is released only to rekindle the fire in the eye, to show the true love of patriotism. On this day we are reminded of what it means to be American, to show just how deep that vein runs within us all.

The magic exists...

It's so devistating.

It's so devistating.  Watching the hijacked planes crash into the buildings, the north tower first, the south next, then an explosion of fire.  People with their heads out the twin tower windows waving flags of help, but yet helpless.  Soon they have no choice and jump....  Remember the children, the men, and the women and especially the firefighters who went in to try and rescue, but didn't come out alive.  Though it was tragic, the collapsing of the world trade center made America stronger, not weaker.
