Hi guys! ^^ As most of you know, I edit pictures often and such. Well, I thought it would be fun to start making covers for other people's stories. ^^ Even if your story isn't done yet, or you just want another book cover option, or if you just want one for fun, I don't mind whatever your intentions are for it.
I just need to get out of my usual editing routine, because I edit the same kind of stuff too much (-cough- people -cough- xD). Thus, I'd appreciate any orders that you'd like to make. ^^ Below, I have posted the information in a clearer form.
Story Requirements
None! You don't even have to have the story written out or have your story planned to be published! xD You're not even required to be a member of KP. Just give me an idea, and I'll get the job done. :]
Ordering Information
-Copy, paste, and fill out the order form below and send it to me by either e-mail or comment.
-Whether you send me your order form in an email or as a comment on this post, I don't mind. ^^ However, keep in mind that if you'd like to keep your cover a surprise until it's published, e-mail is the way to go.
-After I give you your cover, it's your choice what to do with it after that: post it here on other websites, keep it among your book cover options, or whatever other idea you had in store for it. ^^
-IMPORTANT UPDATE: I've decided that I'd like to start putting together an actual, legit portfolio of my work, and want to put in the covers that I'll be doing in it. The only problem with this is that I'll need to put my name on the work to prove that it was really made by me. I'm sorry if this will cause any trouble to anyone, but I'll need to label my work as my own in order for me to get recognized later down the road. This doesn't mean that I have full copyrights to the cover, it's still under your copyright, but now it's also labeled as my art. Thanks for your understanding!
-I can make you a few covers if you'd like. For example, maybe you want me to do covers for a few of your stories, or different cover ideas for one story. I'll do it all. ^^
-All photos used in my covers are royalty-free/copyright-free. Thus, you don't have to worry about getting sued for having a cover with somebody else's photo.
-I'm going to see if a writer can submit back covers too. If they can, I'll do those as well as front covers.
-If published, the cover will be trimmed, so the size of the covers I do aren't shaped to the printed cover size anymore.
-For the most part, covers will be done in 1-2 weeks from order date. However, I find the cover design difficult, I might prolong it to 2-3 weeks. So, if you see other covers ordered after you being done first, that means that I'm trying to get the most I can done, so I can concentrate on your cover. Thanks for your patience!
-I'd like to be notified if you're going to publish the cover that I've given you or not, because there are special steps I need to take with published covers, like making the size print-quality. Thanks!
-Please put your name/alis on your post! I can't put the author name on your cover if I don't see a name/alis. Unless you don't want me to put it in, that's fine but please say so. ^_^

If you're not satisfied with your cover, do not be afraid to tell me what exactly is wrong with it or what you want changed! If it's badly messed up, I'll do it all over again. My purpose on doing this whole service is to enrich my artistic knowledge and get out of my art comfort zone. Thus, please don't be shy and criticize me to your heart's content! xD

Edits
- (April 15th, 2010) Added this section to the post (so you don't waste your time hunting down which updates were made xD) and a question to the Order Form. ^^ It's the "Planned to be Published?" one. I'm asking this question because certain extra steps need to be taken for to-be published covers, and it helps a lot to know exactly which covers will be published and which ones aren't.
_____- Also added 'Contests' section to this post, because I'm planning to do bi-monthly contests. ;D
___________- Added starting date, as I have already forgotten my KidPub anniversary... xD It's sometime in May! I swear!

- (August 23rd, 2010) Edited Ordering Information. It's now required to tell me whether your cover is going to be published, and to fill in your name/alis on the order. Unless you don't want me to put it in, which is fine but please say so. Thanks!

aww! :D Thank you!! ^^ And yes, I plan to be doing graphic design for a while, hopefully for a lifetime. I'm not sure that I'll ever get to be what it takes to be a Disney animator or a World of Warcraft designer, but that's something I'll have to confirm later down on the road. Thanks for the support, it gives me lots of hope and confidence!

I have a story that I fully intend to finish I made a cover but it doesn`t really show what the stories about....Okay it`s about a girl, Rachel, who has all this trouble with her family and she finds the joy of baking (sounds lame now but just keep reading!) And she enters a baking contest for CAKES. So maybe like a cool cake on the cover or I saw how you draw maybe you could draw a large colorful creative cake with flower on it and having a hand reaching forward to put something on the top of the cake (Plz not candles!!!)

I have a cover in my mind: a girl with a masquerade mask, big gray eyes, but her body can't be shown. So if you could do a few things to make it look more cool, or you make and or find a better one than that'll be grat.

Anything Else?: I had a picture in my head for the cover. But if you don't like it try whatever you want. So there's this old craggly tree that fills up the whole cover. It's bent to one side and the branches reach up to the top of the cover. On the left side of the branches a full moon peeks out.

Story Meaning (ex. Red Riding Hood's meaning is that you shouldn't talk to strangers. Particularly those that are furry with sharp teeth.): Let's see if I can remember... well that didn't work. I had to read the last line... anyway, it's mostly about how the past never really fades.
What's the Focus of the Cover? (ex. for the story Jumping Cows, the cover a jumping cow surrounded by light, thus the jumping cow was the focus of the cover): Okay: I have a cover in mind that I was wondering if you could do. The background is just snake scales(all one kind, tone and color) with the the title Scars, basically carved into it. So the letters would be tall, thin, and sort of this:
SCARS
Except the word is thinned out and the S's don't connect, the C is more diagonal. Also it's in a much larger font. You get what I'm sayin'? Oh and Can my name and your logo go toward the bottom. Like Scars one up from the middle, and then the author one down? Your logo shouldn't be interfered by that.
