Okay, here's what you do. Every 3 weeks I'll post a new Debate topic. For those of you who don't know what a Debate is it's basically something you believe in. For instance, I believe that they are killing innocent wolves in Alaska and that they should stop. Someone else (possibly you) would disagree and say that they are doing the right thing. Everyone will get to have a say in this. When you are going to talk about a Debate title your Debate 'argument' DEBATE in all caps. If anyone has a Debate idea plz contact me and I'll approve it.

TOPIC FOR THESE THREE WEEKS!!

With a major decision looming on protections for many of the state’s wolves, we’re gearing up our efforts to save them. So far, we've raised over $34,000 toward our $75,000 July 4th goal. To do even more to help support our efforts, please delete this introduction and forward the message below to a friend.

Dear Wildlife Supporter,

We’ve received word that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is moving closer to a decision on whether to allow the state of Idaho to kill wolves in an area where federal law now protects them. And with anti-wolf forces in Idaho pushing to have all the wolves removed or killed, things aren’t looking good for our wolves.

We only have a short time left to prepare our defense.

Once hunted, trapped and poisoned to extinction in the state, wolves have made a remarkable recovery in Idaho. There are now an estimated 512 wolves, including 36 breeding packs, throughout the state.
But even as their parents lead Idaho’s young wolf pups to summer rendezvous spots for the very first time, the state of Idaho has proposed killing up to 75% of the wolves in the Lolo District of the Clearwater National Forest -- and repeating the slaughter every year for the next five years.
Until now, Idaho wolves north of I-90 have enjoyed strong protections under the Endangered Species Act. Now the state of Idaho is also asking to take over wolf management in this area. If the state’s recent actions are any indication, these wolves could be in grave danger.

Wolf Fact: Biologists have determined that only one or two of every five pups born live to the age of 10 months, and only about half of those remaining survive to the time when they would leave the pack and find their own mates.

If the federal government grants Idaho permission to kill more wolves, we’ll be ready. With your support, Defenders of Wildlife and the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund are already preparing legal challenges and working to educate lawmakers, policymakers and the public about the importance of wolves to healthy ecosystems.

Already, more than 750 wildlife supporters have contributed almost $34,000 to help support our efforts to save Idaho wolves. That’s almost half of our $75,000 goal!

[If you would like to, talk to Paige (me)and...]Please help us reach our goal by July 4th -- Make a donation of $50.00 or more to help support our work to save Idaho wolves and other imperiled wildlife.

We’ll keep you posted in the weeks ahead as the situation in Idaho unfolds. For now, please accept our thanks for all that you've done and will do.

Sincerely,
D.W.A.F.

so, what do you think? Think they should continue to kill the wolves in Idaho, or should they stop and let an Endangered Speciese live?

THEY SHOULD LIVE!! [that's what I believe]
Ky~*
