Separated But Never Lost
As I eagerly await you.
My heart beats so fast.
For I'm glad that you, my love,
Are coming back at last.
The days since you've been gone.
Seem like time suspended.
Long periods of missing you.
I know will soon be ended.
In times ahead, I know that there will be
More times away from you.
Endless days and sleepless nights.
I know I'll suffer through.
The only peace that I can find
While you're away from me,
That soon, my love, that long road back
My lonely heart will free.
Missing you
My heart aches within from missing you,
My lips long for the feel of kissing you,
Right now all I need is to gently touch your skin,
To look into your eyes and see deep within,
Just one warm embrace,
Just to look upon your face,
Just one little touch,
From the one I love so much,
If I could gaze upon your smile,
For just a little while,
To know that you miss me too,
As I'm thinking of you,
To hear the sound of you breathe,
Knowing you'll never leave,
To see you walk up to me,
Then embrace you tenderly,
To just be with the one who's sent my heart reeling,
And brought about this downpour of emotion and feeling,
I sit here alone in my room tonight,
And pray that somehow this all turns out right,
I've told you many thoughts that weren't borrowed or bought,
And in lifetime, who would have thought,
That I'd have found someone meant for me,
I can't explain the magic or why this should be,
But there is one thing that I know for certain,
That this just ain't over till one of us draws the final curtain,
For I've seen an angel and I want you to know,
If it's my choice to make, I'll never let you go,
I don't know what life may hold, maybe there's no reason or rhyme,
To think you may be mine in a matter of time,
And though I cannot touch you and we are now apart,
Just know my love that you do dwell so deep within my heart.

You're the one who's by my side
when no one else is there.
You're the one I can always count on,
You always seem to care.
You help me through
the tough times,
and when I've lost all hope,
You cry with me at sad times,
and laugh at all my jokes.
You never seem to judge me
or ever put me down,
You put a smile on my face,

You're more than just my girlfriend,

When I think of you,
Is your wonderful smile.
The second would be your adorable laugh.
I could go on and on,
But the list would never end.
When I think of the short time
That we've been together
And of all of the happy memories we've already shared
It amazes me to no end
And I know that we were meant to be together.
I look at you and see overflowing love, hope, and joy
As well as charm, strength, happiness and dignity.
With all of these wonderful qualities
It's no wonder I love you so.
