in a state of constant wonder

Capri looked at the book. It was velvety red, with a yellow ribbon, gold edged pages and a green embroidered frame. The letters, in blue, said Red Canyon: Tenth Wonder of High North.
Capri opened the book and read it.

Long ago, when High North was young, the maiden Yaiselhwin found twenty colored stones. She froze them in ice for many years. when Yaiselhwin died, a man name Tessaet found them. He threw them into the sky, and they fell all over High North. No one knew Yaiselhwin had put a spell on the stones, and whoever moved the last stone must retrieve the other nineteen in a week, or the place the last stone landed surely would be destroyed. This was found in Yaiselhwin's last entry of her diary, found in 1362. luckily, though two stones were found, the Last Stone has not been one of them. An unlucky soul has yet to find it.
Legend, mainly told amongst Tesseaet and Yaiselhwin's decsndants, that many of the stones landed in Red Canyon. GAthered from an anonomous teller, the last stone's color was supposedley---------

Capri looked at the page. The last word was scratched out. It looked like either blue or green, CApri could not tell. This book was strange. It lied. Capri was a direct blood descandant of Yaiselhwin, on her father's side, and a decsendant of Tessaet, from her mother, and neither had ever talked of these stones.
"It's lying," Capri said bitterly. How dare they-- lie and joke of her descendants! Her parents surely would have told her these things -- if they were true. Mother never lied to her. THis book was fictional. A liar. "I should have known. A Traveler would never be honest. I am sure of it," Capri thought. She wa sproud of her haritage. A descendant of YAiselhwiin or Tessaet was rare, and once in a three-mooned year did you know, or see a descendant of both at the same time. Capri was angry. It was too late, though, for the TRaveler was probably in South Winds, not High North.
CApri was shaken awaken by a rough jerk. "CApri, daughter of Yaiselthir, grandaughter of Hwintel, who is a blood descendant of Yaselhwin and f the Lord Tessaet," A raspy, dry voice said. She was in a wagon, and so was Kartina. "Who-- are you?" CApri asked. Her brown-green eyes stared coldly at the figure. "Ah, but you do not know? I am Tessaet, friend and comforter of Yaiselhwin, young one." he said. The sun was above the horizon, blazing red over the canyon. "You were summoned to find the Last stone, color of blu and green. The others are in grave danger, CApri YAisel Huxfwin." Tessaet said.

Thus, Capri's adventure begins, in the place of REd CAnyon. She has nothing but the red book, her sister, and Tessaet as a guide. they must find The last stone, it may be anywher in the canyon, five miles across, and three hundred feet deep.
