Diamond and Thunder

September 6th, 2010
He sits upon a rock with one leg crossed under him
One bare foot stirs the glassy-clear water
Minnows dance like butterflies. He whispers
Do you know you're really flying?
He splashes handfuls of shimmering spray upon the dry rocks
At the shore. Turns them into gems
Red, green, purple glittering wetness
Rubies and emeralds and sapphires and the diamond waterfall
There is thunder in this river
He frees pools of unmoving water
Stirs them towards the falls, telling them
Go on!
Don't be afraid!
You can be beautiful!
Because every stone could be a jewel
And the slowly flowing water could be diamond and thunder
Just for a little while

I love this! It's really uplifting.
