Hey, this is Shelby, for those of you who are new and haven't seen my real name.
Okay, for one second, put the writing aside and focus on the problem KidPub is going through. All the quitters. All the fights. I know. It's a touchy subject and I'm risking myself by writing this, but please, keep reading. It's something we all have to hear.
Get out a piece of paper right now. I don't care if it's notebook paper or construction paper, or whatever. Just get something out and get a pen/pencil too. Okay. Thanks. Now, write this quote down. It's a quote we should all say before we log onto this website.

Write that down. Pin it in your room or where your computer is. If your parents ask what that's doing there, tell them. If you don't want to write it down, then put it as your signature. That way, if you start a fight, you see that. And you realize the mistake.
I know how all of you are looking at this quote. It means that if we fight, then this website won't survive much longer. And that's what it means. You're right. But look deeper into it.
Compare KidPub to the U.S.. Back in the 1700s, when we were a young country ruled by Great Britan, we fought. We argued. Looks at the Civil War! When the North and South were against each other! We lost a lot of lives in that war. Just like how we're losing a lot of writers with this fighting epedimic. For all you in the countries other than the U.S., then look back on your history. I'm sure there's SOMETHING that's there. Wars, I'm sure. It's only because we're human.
But next time you're about to start a fight, remember. We can't have everybody fighting and still be a stable writing community for kids.
