A Final Goodbye *tears are shed*

Two years ago I moved to a new town. Anyways, this poem is dedicated to everyone from my old school.
A scorching June morning
A couple tears shed.
A final goodbye;
The last glimmer of hope
Has gone; It has left us
As a little crying group.
A burning late August
Morning's too hard.
Makes me think of the day
I had to say good-bye
For a one final time.
And the phone has stopped ringing
With your name on the caller I.D.
We used to be so tightly woven
Like a basket.
Now that basket's broken,
And it has taken with it
Our final goodbye.
