The haunted Farm

I like the story line but you have many errors in your writing, I'm not trying to be mean though. Here I edited it.

"You got to be kidding me, you're scared?" Max said. Max was hovering over his little brother Jacob, who was on the ground curled up in a ball.
"Max, its dark and scary and I want to go home." Jacob began crying. Max simply said. "Fine, I'll...go alone  and you can stay here where all the scary monsters are." Jacob swallowed hard.
"S-scary m-monsters  where?" 
"Everywhere, can't you feel them, can't you see them?" Max smiled mischeviously. Max made Jacob sneak out of the house with him so he could go see "The Haunted Farm". A farm that  was supposedly haunted. Max and his friends where looking on the internet for haunted places near where they lived, which is Charlestown, West Virginina. They came across "The Haunted Farm" which is not even five minutes away from where Max and Jacob lived.
"Wait!" Jacob shouted. "I'll come, hold on." Jacob stood up. He was a small, skinny blonde haired boy, filled with fear. Max wasn't brave either, he acted like it though because he thought that the whole "haunted farm" thing was just a hoax, but was it? Jacob ran to catch up with him. They were pretty close to the farm by now. Jacob stopped dead in his tracks.
"Did you hear that?" Jacob asked in a whisper.
 Max rolled his eyes "It's probably just some animal."He remarked. Jacob wasn't so sure. They contiuend walking. Then they stopped at a barn.
"Let's go in," Max murmured a slight wave of adrenaline and fear running through his veins.
"Are you kidding?"Jacob hissed. "Thats trespassing." Max slowly opened the door, and stepped in. Jacob followed behind him. The barn was sort of smelly, but vacant. Then they heard a strange noise, like the sound of a chicken.
"Hey, wheres the flashlight you brought?" Max asked Jacob. 
"Here," He handed him the flashlight with a trembling hand. Max turned the flashlight on, but there was no chicken, there wasn't a living soul besides them.

In a quick second the flashlight died out, leaving them stranded in the dark.
