His Loving Words

He held me close
And whispered
Loving words
In my ear.
Loving words
Of a vampire,
A vampire with
An angel’s wings.
“I can’t stand without you
I can’t walk without you
I can’t survive without you
I don’t ever want to be without you.”
He held me close
And gave his
Love to me
Through poetry.
Loving words
Of an angel,
An angel with
A vampire’s fangs.
“You are the air I breathe
You are the blood I need
You are the one I want
You are the perfect one for me.”
