So many things are changing

So many things are different

So many things are strange

So many things aren’t what

I’m used to them being

So how will I deal with change?

How will I deal with my friends

When we all go separate ways

How will I handle the changes

That are happening around me?

How will I handle the changes

Inside of me?

I have God on my side and He

Is stronger then all of you and me

I’m getting older, more responsibility

I’m growing emotionally and mentally

I’m learning from my mistakes

And yet I’m still never going to be perfect

You say I’m still young, but you can tell I’m changing

So how will I deal with change?

Good, bad, hard, easy, helping, hindering,

This is the time of my life when I

Become the person I’m destined to be

And who will stay with me

To watch me as I grow and change?

Will it be you, my true friend?
