Lonely Spider
(In response to the book, Miss Spider’s Tea Party)
Spider’s heart is very kind
The insects had a different mind.
He tried to be nice to them
But they always ran from him.
He was lonely every day
But they never wanted to play.
He made snacks for all of them
But they were scared of him.
He tried to talk with them
They thought he was tricking him.
In the end it was very nice
For the insects should think twice.
If only insects were smart
They would see Spider’s true heart.
