Hello, all!
I was originally going to post this for Writer's Block....and, I am soooooooooo sorry that this is asking for a lot! I've written a letter to KP. Just like a quick (or, like super duper long) post. And sorry if I'm an ... um, attention hog thingymabob!
START MESSAGE:
"Hi KidPub! It's Lucky here. Um, and yes, this is another 'story' about the KP fights. As you may know, I may seem like a stupid attention-hogging Kidpubbian. Actually, I am. 
Well, now, this is just very stupid.
Please, I am desperate. It's not only me who want the old KidPub back. To prove my point, here are the definitions:
Old KidPub: Safe, sweet and quiet environment. Everyone considered family.
New KidPub: Fights, debates, and wars over silly, stupid stuff. New members all time.
PLEASE don't be offended about the new member part. This is the only thing bad about it (and please don't get offended by bad part of nm's too please!): Some KP seniors I happen to be one, actually, um, get mad at new ones. They say what they are doing is wrong. And that makes me, and everyone else sad. I really don't like the New KidPub.

Because this section of the post only applies to Camille, and other people who are 'not worthy of writing a good book'. Other people can read too.
Okay, here is a start. Do you know who J.K. Rowling is? Right, she is the aw-MAHZ-ing author of Harry Potter. KidPub doesn't apply to her because she is an adult, right? So then she has to do the enter-the-book, get-rejected-or-not thing. Did you know that J.K Rowling got her first Harry Potter book rejected TWELVE TIMES? Since KP is here, we don't have to worry about rejections.
But think about it--12 times rejected. Johanna Kathleen Rowling actually had the patience to send it to different publishers to get the book published. And look where that got her? She earns TEN MILLION now! :O That is...a lot. A jaw-dropping amount!! And for Camille-- dragonwriter came to KP to improve her writing. This isn't her first or beginning story. She has progressed from KIdPub her writing skills. Camille, you barely came. How can you compare that writing to a beginner? (NO OFFENSE PLEASE!!!!!)
Sooner or later, after your month- or year-a-versary, you'll write a hit like Vaaren Salvation! All you need is patience....and KidPub.
Okay. Back to regular post.
Fights. Why are they here?
Because someone gets mad at the other person. So the person gets mad and has a fight with the other person.
Sample:
"This story isn't good."
"WHAAT THE HECK?!??! CAN'T YOU SAY ANYTHING NICER????"
Actually, BOTH of them have to say something nicer. Here is something better.
"This isn't your best, but you can improve with a little more practice."
"Thanks for your support! I'll try better on the next chapter/story!"
That is a lot better. If everyone were like this, then...that would be awesome. 
Wars. When a fight goes bad.
Example:
"Why did you DO that?!"
"I DIDN:T DO ANYTHING!"
"YES YOU DID!"
And then EVERYTHING goes downhill. Take the TIMFN and Thomas fight. (For other people: The TIMFN and Thomas fight happened MONTHS ago) Both of them wouldn't forgive each other. Or, even apologize.
But forgiving is the key. You have to forgive to move on. To end a dumb fight or disagreement, you have to apologize and forgive. Be sincere.
Quitting. The worst thing EVER.
"I'm leaving because no one reads my stories or ever comments."
You should be grateful for at least ONE comment. Comments are a treat, but what really counts is your views.
Take a look at your view meter. It counts every single person that reads your story. Even non members!
If you get the same amount of views every single story, don't be bummed. Instead, be VERY happy. You've got some fans! If you get 100 views, that's not a problem!!
Comments? Well, some people don't even have time to comment, let alone leave one. Non members don't have a voice, so they can't say how they feel about the story. Kay is an awesome example--comment on every story she reads.
Try it! It's easy. And a one-line comment takes what, thirty seconds? That easy!!!

Wow. Well, that's actually a younger excuse than the comment thing, but it's still lame.
Ever heard of ignoring? Try it. Same will bullies. Think of KidPub as a school. You can't quit school, right? Only retire/grow out of it. So quitting...not an option. What a waste of $12.95, just stay for about a month or three and leave. Wow.
Quitting. Not good for the people, not good for the quitter.
So I guess that's about it.
Think about it.

People's feelings are getting hurt. We are REAL people, not just some cyber computers. We have feelings. It's sad to hurt them. Please don't hurt people's feelings by causing fights.
Some members--I'm not naming names--ooooooother than me are feeling sad and betrayed/lonely. It's not as good as safe KP before. We are prone to fights more than ever.
I'm not saying we have to be PERFECT. Just...not start too much fights.

I don't know what the old kidpub was like before I came, since I really am pretty much a new member,but I've been wanting to join a writing club for so long, and my dad found this site for me and signed me up. I already love kidpub, but I have noticed quite a few fights going on lately, and it kind of disapoints me. anyways, I hope, like you said, that kidpub goes back to the safe kidpub that I never knew.

I totally agree with you Lucky. It is really sad. I am seeing more, and more fights each day, and it makes me so sad. But I will say, when I get great comments, I almost cry of happiness, but me, and Kay had a chat on illichat, and as she said. Kidpub is my best fiend, we our family. Plus to be, Kidpub is better then my best friend. This place is amazing, let's keep it that way.
Also a quick note to new members: If you see fights please don't leave, have patience I promise you KP is a great place

Thank you for voicing this Lucky. I've been feeling this pressure for a while. I can't call myself an older member, but I totally now the ropes and most of y'all know me. So I'm going to do one of those "back in my day" speeches, just 'cuz I can :)
Of course there was the TIMFN and Thomas fight, but other than that, there weren't nearly as many squabbles that I saw. No one on downright hate campaigns to another person's story. And when I was a guest, a while back, before I found KP again, they were a tightly woven group. This was two or three years ago. There were less members, and it seemed like everyone knew each other. I'm sad I didn't sign up back then. The funny thing is, there were still fights (I have the clearest recollection of one KidPubber pretending to be a Canadian Pop star, and yes, I do remember who it was, but I won't say it, for them). But I have to wonder... were they as bad as us? Admit, folks. We could be doing better. We are a part of something. Let's make that something fantastic. Thanks.

I agree with you, for the most part. It seems like, however this is just more kindling for the flame :/. But I'm glad you took the time to write a well constructed commentary.
And actaully, I can make on of those back in my day speeches. ;).
Let me take you back to a safe place with a spiral looking notebook design. Kidpub. We were a small group of friends. A family, of course. It'd be crowded when 7 authors were on. I payed 7 bucks for life for my account. But that's besides the point.
I've seen fights and wars, people quitting (which was sad, but somethig you had to accept. This one girl was making a big fuss about leaving that Perry made a poll abouy it) and scandels (Mhmm... The Definite History one was my favorite, for sure).
But what out wayed all that rot were the parts that made KidPub a haven. A constructive comment, getting comments even if you didn't write PLeASE READ in your title, getting written into a story (see: KWR stories for example) or a really funny joke (such as Brandana).
But the thing is, in my last 3 days of my return, I'm seeing less of that. It's a different KidPub for sure. An age of Idealism and Tacos.

Even though I came when KP had a dark blue background and a confusing writer's block, it was still when there was a very small group. People who shared their work for the sake of sharing it and recieving advice, a close knit family of people where everyone knew everyone.
Kazel was one of my first buddies (Fantasy Buddy) on here. All the others have left.

I'M JUST REALLY SICK OF FIGHTING! I usually don't get involved in fights, but I see then on AN and WB and even on comment, ALL THE TIME! I wasn't here to witness to calm and peaceful and nive KidPub, but right now, there are more fights happening than stories. If only the old KidPub could come back, and we could all be friends again! So please everyone, I'm begging, don't start fights. And if you see other people starting fights, stay out of it, or else it'll only get bigger. And if you REALLY have to join in, then just try and calm it down a bit, and help them into apoligizing. If we could all just do that, then KidPub would be a better place and we could all just get back to writing. So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON'T FIGHT! PLEASE! I'LL GIVE YOU A TACO...
P.S. Lucky, I totally aggree! This wasw very well written and you got your point across very well. After reading that, I hope people calm down again. And since your your message was so good.... HAVE A TACO! OR TWO HUNDRED! WHICHEVER YOU WANT! YOUR WELCOME!

She didn't mean to be offensive or mean to new members. She was just comparing the old Kidpub with the modern Kidpub, and the fact was that there weren't as many new members as there were before. It's not that we don't welcome new members. ^_^ All writers here are nice and good in their own way, we just all have to adjust to the new Kidpub so we all can be more comfortable.

More writers ARE good, Camille...it's just that alot of the older members are unable to accept and comprehend change, and that causes uneasiness, which causes fights.

I agree!!! It's making me soooo depressed. I have enough to be depressed about in real life.... I don't need it online too!!! I'm sick of people quitting!!! It seems like every day there is a post about someone quitting.
Personally, I'm never going to quit. I've quit alot of things. But never writing or Kidpub.

Well, the first one was obviously written to be a one book series. And not seven. But then when it became a huge usccess, she wanted more money and wrote six more about some kid with a scar on his head waving sticks around and shouting non sensical words. I mean, it just seems to shift from one scene to the next. I find it dull, but that's just me.
This is who I am, like it or don't, it's me; and I'm not about to change it.
I guess an engaging writing style universal themes of love and death, WWII parralles and likable characters is a turn off to you. Whatever.

I havn't bothered really to comment on any of these fight this but I have read them all and I feel a bit (scratch that) a lot of disappointment!! Now I read this havn't comment and followed this fight through all the way! Its the same with a story, I loveeeeee Vaaren Salvation and asked Dragongwriter to start posting it again and do u see me commenting?? NO! BUT I copy each chappie or exert and print it out and put it in a Vaaren Salvation folder. Ok so don't get discouraged and stop just get over the fact and realise. You. Are. Writing. For. Youself!
I agree so STOP! I am getting close to be a senior well I think I've past my year-a-versy now. I understand what Lucky means but the `Old KidPub` it was nice and calm and the only emergencies where when we had writers block so lets try make it the `old kidpub` with added effects of the `new kidpub` people! Oh my God, I think my eyes are tearing up a bit! That was BEAUTIFUL, Lucky, and I haven't even been on here that long and I REALLY think it's dumb how people quit because they don't have enough comments, and the fights and all that. Marvelous work.
