Microfiction #2

In the Beginning, God created the World. Then came the End in 2012. After that the Earth was dark and desolate for a few eons, for all living creatures had perished in the End. The last girl to live was named Marple, but she was dim-witted and had just sat there in her misery and fright instead of trying to save the world. The world was left without a single hope, and ever since the revival of Earth in the year 3022, the insult "You're such a Marple!" can still be heard everywhere.
