Chapter One
“Juules, you can’t just leave!” River screamed. “Not now!” Tears ran down her red cheeks, and dripped down off her chin.
Juules couldn’t leave! Not at a time like this. They had a mission. A mission they couldn’t ignore.
“River, I have to leave.” Juules insisted. But nothing would change Rivers mind. “I have a life. And I won’t live it like this! Trapped here, waiting for a mission all of our lives! Then, going out on some stupid mission for Jade, risking our lives!”
“But, but…” River trailed off. She couldn’t argue with Juules. Juules had made up her mind, she was leaving, and nothng, nothing would change that.
River threw herself onto the mattress that lay on the stone floor, and sobbed. It was all over. They had an important mission to fulfill, and now they had to just give up. Juules was gone. And she wasn’t coming back.
Suddenly, a warm hand pressed itself upon River’s shoulder. “River,” A sweet male voice spoke. She didn’t answer.
“River, it’s all right. It’s gonna be okay. She’ll be fine. We’ll just have to ask for another member. Jade will give us one. It’ll be fine.” Eli assured her.
River sat up and threw her strong arms around him. She sobbed on his shoulder. Salty tears stained his white shirt. “It’ll be okay,” But it wouldn’t be.

Juules stormed out the door. Tears sting her icy blue eyes. She was tempted to turn back, and run back to River and Eli. What she’d done was bad. She knew that. Leaving your team was considered a terrible thing to do, but she had to. She had a life.
When you were one of Jade’s warriors, you weren’t aloud to love. It wasn’t fair. Eli and River still did it though, but she didn’t have the heart to tell.
By telling, she’d be destroying her team, as well as destroying their friendship and their love. Of course, their team was a team of three, like all teams, which meant there was no one for her. No one for her to secretly love. Love was the reason she’d left.
She was tired of watching Eli and River, she wanted someone for herself. So, she did what she had to do: left. River would never forgive her. Eli would.
Juules stormed along, heading for no where specific. Just somewhere she could stay a while, till she had a way out of town.
To somewhere new, where no one would know her. Where no one would know what’d she’d done.
But the only place she hadn’t traveled was to Falinn. But Falinn was Vivix territory.
