"Could you just get yourself together?"Christie asked Lesley, holding almost all of her daughter's clothes as lesley raced through her dresser, trying to find something to wear to school. "But it is picture day and you do want me to look nice, right?" Lesley replied, pulling on what must have been the millionth skirt. "Yes, but could you hurry up so you can get your picture taken?" Christie asked. "See, already? Let me just grab my backpack and we can go. They got in the car and headed for school.
In the car, Lesley and her mother passed by Grace's house to take her to school also."Awsome outfit" Grace said, jumping into the car. "Thanks" Lesley whispered in reply. She was gazing at the house across the street from Grace's house. "You... are... so... lucky" Lesley said dizzily. "Wh- Oh him, he just moved here from Hawaii" Grace said. "Obviously" Lesley said, starring at his suntan. "I think his name begins with a G" Grace said, trying to change the subject. "Grant!" she said remembering the name.
After five minutes of listening to the radio, the trio arrived at school. Lesley didn't move. She had spotted Grant. Finally, she got up and walked over to him. "Hi, Grant" Lesley said shyly. "Hi" came Grant's answer."Um, if you need anyone to show you around you can always ask me. OK?" Lesley exclaimed. "Sure" Grant said faintly."Oh, could you show me where the Science classroom is?" Grant asked politely. "Mmmmmmm" Leslet replied,"Sciense is my first class too."
Lesley and Grant talked as they walked to their first class.
"Uuhhhh, do you want tocome do homework with me and my friends after school?" Lesley asked, her heart beating as fast as her legs were walking.
"That'd be great!" Grant answered.
The couple walked into the classroom to find that they were extremely early, or did they?"Oh my gosh, I forgot about pictures!" Lesly said making a run for the door.
Lesley and Grant ran at top speed to the assembly hall. They had just made it inside the hall when the photographers were putting all the students in line.
"Oh do we have another little person?" asked the photographer nearest to Lesley. Lesley faintly nodded, she didn't know if she was suppost to answer that.
Lesley and Grant were put in between Grace and Faithe. Coinsedentily Lesley was next to Grace.
"So what's the deal with you and Grant?"Grace asked exitedly. "I invited him to do homework with us. Is that OK?" Lesley asked. "Oh, yeah, sure" Grace answered.
The phtograp-hers snapped pictures for about ten minutes and then told everyone3 to line up for indvidual photos.
Lesley smiled nicely for all of her pictures. If Grant saw them she wanted to look really nice.
When Lesley and Grace arrived at Science class, Lesley wrote Grant a note:

293 Blueston Ave.
