My Farewell Letter

Well. I never thought I'd be the one writing one of these.

My time on KidPub has passed. I'll probably recieve my letter soon, the one that warns me I only have a week left. So I wanted to get this out of the way.

I know I haven't been on much recently. Part of the reason is I've been focusing on art, and have no stories to share. The other reason is that I feel a bit exculded. KP is a wonderful community. And I was a part of it. But, the community I shared went away. Bit by bit. Person by person. New people came, and I don't know you very well. I'm also probably about two to six years older than you newbies. But, you new guys have built a new community. I hope you enjoy the time you have with your friends on here. Because KidPub eras tend to pass quickly.

To my friends who are still here, you can still find me. It's not like I'm Amish and won't have internet access. I have a deviantArt (jaebirdy.deviantart.com), a Tumblr (dumbindumbfounded.tumblr.com), and for the most dedicated of you, a facebook. But you'll have to find me :D

I really enjoyed all the fun we had together. Two years worth of fun.

For those of you who know about The Rogues of Night, it's coming along slowly. Very slowly. However, I will finish it. And I mean it this time. It's the building block for a whole world, so I have to.

I don't think I owe any of you (other than Lauren) art or stories, but if I do, let me know and I'll get them done.

Bit of nostalgia.

Who remembers when we had the old KP? Like the dark blue with binder KP? I think that was the best time. Before the new format and fancy-shmancy Writers Block. That's the KP I knew best. With Maron, Robin, Obi, KK, Cassi, Lauren, Maryam, Susmi and all the other wonderful people who came on to write stories and help others improve. (If I forgot your name, I'm sorry. I'm a bit of a scatterbrain).

I met my best friend on here, she knows who she is. I started about fifteen stories here. I still haven't finished any of them. I started writing, period, because of this site. Without it, I would still think writing was for nerdy people with good grammar (technically that's what it is, but I happen to be a nerdy grammar-freak now XD).

So this is my final adieu. My last huzzah. My goodbye.

I may be on until my account fully expires, but who knows when that will be? If you see me, pop me a note. I always check it the page. If you want me to read something of yours, contact me. I'd be happy to.
