My Food Dream

by Rainy Daze in one of the territories of the, what, 25 Warrior clans I've invented, attempting to find out which one I feel like writing about

My mom made me eat veggies,

One night at dinnertime,

I told her they would freak me out,

Or make me be a mime.

She told me not to worry,

The corn would make me strong,

My dad said,"Hey, just look at me!"

Mom said, "I've heard that song!"

So I ate all my veggies,

And then I went to bed,

With visions of desserts

Dancing in my head.

I sat up and I realized,

I wasn't lying on a tree,

It was a stick of broccoli,

And it was talking to me!

"We're glad you came," it told me,

"We'll teach you what to know.

Then you will feel much better,

And have a healthy glow!"

I ran from it in terror,

But it kept chasing me,

It said, "Come eat my family,

And join our family tree!"

I bumped into some lettuce,

Some carrots, and a pea,

And as I raced past all them,

They kept calling to me.

I saw a white painted line,

The veggies didn't cross,

I ran across the white line,

And stepped into some moss.

As I ran fast and faster,

I bumped into somebody,

I looked up in cold terror,

But it was a candy bee!

It glared at me, quite angry,

Though I was so happy,

I could have cried but it replied

With a sting to my buttcheek!

I was shocked at him,

Though I was not much surprised,

He was a bee, to be true,

Though tears ran from my eyes.

I bumped into a pie,

Who smashed into my face,

I ran into a donut,

Who said, "Hey, watch it, Ace!"

I woke up in a sweat,

Ran to the kitchen room,

Where my mom had made breakfast,

And was dancing with a broom!

I ate up all my veggies,

And Mom said, "Hey, you're good as gold!

You want some candies, honey?"

Sadly, I was out cold.
