Once I saw a caterpiller. I
said "one day that caterpiller will grow up to be a butterfly"
it will spread its wings and fly. It will go to new lands and one day that butterfly will flyaway and I will know then that Papaw is flying in the wind, high above the sky with that one and only beautiful Butterfly. He will be wondering where am I going and I will say "I don't know but I really want to. " Then he will say "just rememder I will be there for you always even if it is not a windy day."
"When will I see you again?"
"Someday my darling but you must stay and make a difference in your young and beautiful life.So just remember I will be there for you even if it is not a windy night,or even if the stars are not shinging bright, and when you are upset or blue just pretend to curl up in my lap like you use to." "I will always be there for you."
" Then your Papaw is gone."one friend said
"No he is just flying in the wind and his life will never end, my life will never end I will just go flying in the wind."

To everyone, I wrote
To everyone,
I wrote that poem to honor my grandpa who passed away when I was in the third grade. I think my poem really helps people to know what my grandpa was like he was always there for me his lap was always open and warm just for me to curl up on. Still to this day I pretend to curl up on his lap and I think about him all the time. For anyone that reads this poem and You have lost a loved one this poem can relate to what you must have felt when your loved one passed away.
