Kidpub is based on something called Drupal, right? I was looking at www.drupal.org, and I was thinking that I wanted to make my own website with it. Is Drupal free? And how much do domain names cost, exactly? I saw Elias's post and I found it very interesting, and I want to make a real website, not one from Freewebs or Homestead, but a real one, like Kidpub. Is it possible for one person to make one? Do you have to have a team of people?

Drupal, the software that runs KidPub, is free. I encourage you to download it and play with it on your own computer...it's fun and you can learn a lot.

Domains, like kidpub.com, usually cost $35 per year.
If you are a little technical or have a techie friend, Google on 'dynamic dns' and you'll read about a way to run your web site on your home computer in a way that the public can get to it.
