A Reminder About What Should Be Posted On KidPub

Sorry to intrude on your story reading, but it's time again to remind everyone that stories posted on KidPub should be your own work, and should be a story, not a note to a friend or a question. Posting material that you didn't create...for example, a link to a YouTube video of a singer's performance, or lyrics to a song that you didn't write, or pictures that you didn't draw or photograph...is a violation of US copyright laws, and could result in legal action against KidPub by the copyright holder. We will normally delete posts that we see that have material such as this.
Similarly, stories should be stories. The front page of KidPub is here to showcase creative writing, not personal notes or open-ended questions or comments on something you saw on the web. We have two places on KidPub, Writer's Block and Notes, that are appropriate for that that sort of post. Stories that aren't stories are typically deleted by the KidPub staff.
If you post something on KidPub that later on disappears, it probably fell under one of these categories and was deleted. We don' do it to be mean, but to keep KidPub legal and running smoothly, especially as we see more and more new members.

I totally agree with you. Kidpub has expanded... a lot. And I don't feel like I know everyone now. It's an oxymoron feeling. I feel happy that Kidpub is provailing but it doesn't have the same homy feeling anymore. There are too many strangers. But I hope that will change. :) And, I have -- we have concluded from both of our obersevations that the "newer members" (maybe some of the older ones, I am not targetting the newer member at all. At the least bit.) have been getting out of control. I'm glad we have an awesome guy like you guiding us so politely.

Okay, I totally understand. ^^ But I have a question, what if you post a song that you wrote, or pictures that you made from scratch? It's not under somebody else's copyright, so that's still legal, right?

Don't freak out! WE aren'tdirecting it at you and only you! The newbies are still learning the ropes and just didn't know! We aren't trying to be mean, but some of you newbies can be, Kay and Athena and a few others are the only newbies I know to be nice. Just because you're a newer member of KP dosen't mean all the older KP members hate you, Although you act like you hate us. We aren't all upitty like it says in your bio you newbies are just too sensitive. NOT ALL YOUR COMMENTS WILL BE GREAT ONES! We don't blame everything on you! So just stop trying to get sympathy for the newbies, WE HAVE SOME FOR THE ONES THAT ARE NICE! I don't know you so I am not sure if you are nice or not but I have saw some pretty rude comments from you! We don't like fights on KP But we do like NICE PEOPLE! Stop Having a pitty party! SHISH!

Look, everyone loves to meet new people. It's just way harder if people are sorta rude the first time they come. KidPub used to be a small website with about 20-40 members. Now, in the future, we have over 50 members, I believe. KidPub is a writing website, we shouldn't waste space for one liners when there are real, good stories like yours.
They just put stuff on the newest stories page so all the newbies that don't know how to use Author's Notes can see. But they keep doing it because some new members don't get it yet.
If you don't know how to use Author's Notes, maybe I can teach you?
Well, please be nice to older members and they will be nice to you. It's just that they are used to having little members where everyone knows eachother. Remember, they were newbies too and they didn't know the ropes then.
Please be nice. Also, you don't have to say "offense taken" when anyone says "no offense". It's something you don't have to answer. Thank you!
