I originally did this in 3rd grade, but I edited it and added on to it for a poetry contest called "River of Words". The contest is closed now, but here is the link for furter reference. http://www.riverofwords.org/
Silver
Flickering their lustrous tails
In and out of the water,
Salmon roam the silver lake,
Where a gleaming moon
Shines down on silver scales,
Like a silver spotlight
On a silver stage.
The velvet fur of a silver coyote
Ruffles in the silver wind,
The solemn song of it's cry
Echoing in the silver silence.
Beating their silver wings,
The silver mallards
Sweep across the shining sky,
And in a silver flurry,
The glistening silver clan flies
Over the silver land.

mmm silver reminds me of Eclipse's eyes....
95% would cry if they saw ROBERT PATTINSON (Edward Cullen - Twilight, New Moon) standing on top of a sky scraper about to jump. If you're one of the 5% who would sit there eating pop corn saying "DO A FRONTFLIP!!" copy this and paste it in your signature
This is very good! I love the lines; "the solemn song of its cry/ Echoing in the silver silence." Very nice!

I like how you used descriptive words like "lustrous" and "mallards". Very neat poem!
