Harry thought about the day they had met. They had left the bus stop and ordered coffees in Sal’s-Coffee-shop, their conversation endlessly flowing. Neither seemed to want to be the first to bring up the subject of leaving.
Harry was sitting in that very coffee shop, drinking coffee, looking through their photo album, remembering. He saw photos of them on holidays, at the beach, at Christmas, a whole mixture of memories.
He gazed around the café, she was there. She was everywhere he looked. Of course it wasn’t really her and he knew that, but…no, it couldn’t be…but it was. A young woman with beautiful red hair and a beautiful face was at another table in the very same café. A girl hiding her face and weeping bitterly. A girl called Sindy-lou.
