She told Harry, she told him about the death of her father and how it had come as such a shock. She told him how she loved him and had been stupid to refuse his offer, as there was nothing she would like better than to be able to call herself the wife of Harry Johnson. She told him how she was sorry and wished it had been different. She told him lots of things, some, she had not meant to say and some she had not even known she was going to tell anyone. All the emotion that had been building up inside her all day spilled out, so by the time she had finished she was sobbing onto Harry’s shoulder, holding onto his jumper. He took her outside silently and led her to a park bench where they were alone and sat her down on it. Then he knelt down beside her and asked her for the second time in two days. He said, “Will you marry me?”
This time she said yes and threw around him.
Six months later as Harry rose from his sleep, he was very happy to say that the woman lying next to him was Mrs Sindy-lou Johnson.
